Good thing about the UK is the you're never too far from the coast. I'll be heading through the Trough of Bowland towards the coast near Lancaster and back. The trough of Bowland is an amazing place!!! Google it!

My one favourite is the D902 Col du Galibier, Venoise National Park in France, if there's one stretch would be from Val'd Isere to Col du Galibier, fast and windy just beautiful
Sounds like a great ride. If you ever venture down towards the Suffolk area let me know. There are some great country roads out this way and of course the coast near Cromer and Great Yarmouth are excellent to ride.
