question need help with lower foot controls
i need forward controls for my 2014 iron 883. my frined has some 2013 48 hes willing to sell me. since the 2014 iron needs a longer shift rod does anyone know what kind of modification i can do to the 2013 forwards to make them fit?

Not only is it a different length shift rod, it is also a different connection style to the rear brake mechanism.
The brackets are also different that attach to frame. As well as different rods for attachment to foot pegs.
Oddly I'm in reverse situation. I have a 2013 883 and was accidentally given a 2014 forward controls kit. Unfortunately I didn't figure that out until halfway through inatall.
Any interest? I am looking to get rid of it because it will cost too much to make it work on my bike
