Does anyone know if engine guard chaps help with the wind buffeting that comes up from below the tank? I'm going on a 2,200 mile, week long, ride this summer and have not been able to find a thread that discusses this particular aspect of chaps.
I ran into a chick at Rocket HD yesterday that had them on a Road Glide and she loved them and said they were a life saver on a trip from MS to NJ.
Soft Lowers will block a lot of air, and may help with the buffeting, depending on how you sit and many other factors. They mostly will help keep the wind off your feet and lower legs...helps keep them dry in the rain also.
A Tank Lift will also push more air under the tank and less over the top of the tank. Many find that this eliminates/reduces buffeting.
