If your INDY or your Dealer forgot to tighten the oil drain plug on your transmission and you lost some of your oil driving it back home would you never go back to them for service? Or would you give them a second chance because we all make mistakes.
That is what happened to me yesterday.
My INDY have been serving my bike since 2012 and this is the first time they screw up.........in a big way.
I would go back and have them refill it and wash the bike, if they did that with no problem I would continue using them, none of us are perfect, even thou that should not happen - **** does happen once in awhile.
Now if they gave me a bunch of crap or refused to clean the mess I wouldn't return...ever.
Did you lose your drainplug? Weird that someone would put it back on and not snug it tight, but some people have odd ways of doing oil changes.
John
No didn't lose the drain plug thank god. It was still in hanging by a few threads. Would have had to rebuild the whole tranny had I lost it on the way back home and or the ride I took after the service.
I'm now "once bitten twice shy with them now".

Yes **** does happen but DAMN this would have one big load had I lost all the fluid on the way back home.
If they have provided good quality and service in the past, sure why not?
Everybody makes mistakes once in awhile....just check your thread title.
Agree with thread title.
It's a kneejerk reaction to dump them and go somewhere else as you well know.
Wondering if others have had this experience and what they did.
This is a first for me even given all the cars and trucks I've owned in the past since '73.
