This has felt like one of the longest winters ever. 6 long months ago had to put the bike up cause of snow. Thought that it would be a good time to put on all the parts I had collected durring the summer; bobtail fender, detachable sideplates and a set of Leatherpro's saddlebags. I've been keeping my bike in Willow over the winter (some 86 miles north of Anchorage) and my friend helping me lives in Girdwood (about 30 miles south of Anchorage) makes for some really long round trips. Anyways back on the road now and the bike looks good, I'll post pics as soon as I can get them off my friends camera.
Wow, that is a long time not to ride. I'm hating the fact I have to put my bike up between Nov-Mar almost half a year without a bike I need to move back to California, as soon as rent isn't $1400/mo for a studio in the middle of a crack infested neighborhood.
I get mean and start kickin the dog and beating the wife and child (not really, well at least not the wife and kid) if I go over 2 days without throwing a leg over at least for a short trip.
I think you should LOBBY the MoCo to start to manufacture Snowmobiles! I've done that a few times, it was quite fun!!
Yea, I live in Anchorage and got the bike out of storage a few weeks ago. Been riding to work and then Girdwood on the weekends. Weather could be a bit warmer but the roads are getting cleaned and hate to have the bike sit all the time. Its in the 30's at night and make for a cool ride in the AM. But the daytime temps are in the 50's so not all bad. Hope to see ya around. Ride safe.
