yes, you will be fine...20w50w is almost the same as 75/90 gear oil...motor oil and gear oil are graded on different scales so the numbers are different...
I'm trying the mobil 1, after using amsoil.
Probably due for gear oil change now.
Do what scuba says.
Napa gold filters are well made.
i think they are the same or similar to the Wix.
Well made filter,
I'd cut one up and post the pics, but so far I can't figure how to get my pictures on the posts, on hdforums.
Go look on youtube, there's a video where the guy cuts the filters in half
and shows a bunch.
Not that I've had a filter fail ever, but some of the big brands are have cheap stuff in them.
The napa's are real nice, though.
A good friend of mine works at HD, graduated from UTI. He recommends you get the Syn-3 from HD... it's an oil you can use in both the engine and the primary. He says it's a little bit more money, but it pays for it self in that it breaks down slower and maintains it's viscosity better. plus you're only buying one oil for both applications.
It only takes a quart for the primary/tranny so you aren't saving anything as you'll use the full quart, nothing left over.
A quart of Formula+ is cheaper than a quart of Syn-3.

He was essentially saying that even though Syn-3 is more expensive it's a better quality so it lasts longer, breaks down slower... ergo, more miles out of it between changes... pays for itself.
My friend tells me ( coventional 20W50 ) untill 10K miles then switch it over to Full Syn 3 to make sure the engine is broken in. Says it keeps the leaks from happening. I'm at 5k now.
15-50 Mobile will work fine in engine. What I use. However, do not use the GL5 differential oil. Use Harley's Formula + since it's truly designed for it and has no GL5 EP additives which are corrosive to any bronze sleeve bearings and use Harley's filter. Know this is an oil thread but I have experience. 66 years worth
