You can have a Kick Start on your pre '04 1200cc Evo now! Led Sled came out with them about a year ago. A bit pricey, but lets you have the old school feel/look with better reliability on the power plant
yeah, I was surprised when I test drove the 103, I really wanted that 6th gear for higher top speed but there is so much wind over 95 that there's just no point at all.. thse aren't sport bikes.
don't forget about the low rider, If I were buying new that would probably be my first choice.
the breakout is a really cool, great looking bike but for $20,000 it doesn;t seem practical, it can't be comoftabl with it's small seat & low bars, especially when the Vrods are $5,000 less and more powerful and more standard options.
