In reality my eyes are set on a Nightster. She ticks a lot of bills and with a few tweaks can become a nice occasional touring machine. If my wallet can go for a 48 I will do it but will modify tank and some other goodies. This used 48 is a couple of EUROS away, but damn I am in love with it. http://www.subito.it/moto-e-scooter/...-122464119.htm

Billy,
Take care that your heart doesn't rule too much over your wallet! I bought my SuperLow before the 1200T was launched and guess what? It now looks pretty much the same as a 1200T, except it has an 883 engine. In my defence I will add that I had completed my upgrades before the 1200T was announced.
So take a long look at a bike that is designed to actually do what you say you want and compare it with the one you like - which will not. The cost of getting the one to do the work of the other will be extensive and expensive. You also have to take into account the practicalities and additional costs of customising a bike in a foreign land - I speak with many years of practical experience!
