Speedo issues...
Welp, the ole 96 has been having speedo issues. Nothing with the actual speed indicator, but the milage indicator has a few digits missing and died out. Can barely read it now. I was thinking about upgrading to one of these new fangled digital speedos. Anybody have any experience with these? Pretty pricy! but I rely on the dang thing. Milage is important to. Wish I could buy a new speedo and set to my actual milage I have now, about 16,000. Trying to be honest and all I guess...

wow, I didn't even know it would fit a 96,, there are probably some other replacements out there but considering you get the tach in the Dakota that makes it worth the extra few bucks. and it says even the gear indicator will work. everybody who buy those dakotas loves them. I never heard anything bad about them. It looks like your best option to me unless you want to do something custom, there weren't many options for sportsters.
