Question Round convex mirror placement

In a, so far failed, effort to see both beside me and behind me, I got a pair of those little round convex mirrors. They're small, 1.5" specifically designed for bikes. What's the best place to put them? Inboard or outboard? Its really hard to hold them in place and try to sit in riding position and I know I only get one shot at placement.

The best thing I have found is Kuryakan mirror extenders. They stick out past the handlebars a half inch, and also lowers the mirror some.
Couldn't see anything behind me before, and now I'm very comfortable in Houston rush hour freeway traffic. Amazon has some good deals on them. http://www.kuryakyn.com/products/397...stem-extenders

Certainly has good reviews. These would only work for me if the threaded stem is no longer than my stock mirror, otherwise it will hit the turn signal. Awful pricey for what it is but one gets what one pays for....

I have been looking for a solution for the blind spots.

I dont like those small convex mirrors. They take away from the viewing surface of my already small mirrors and the image they produce is too small.

I am considering a pair of these, under mounted though probably.

The stems are about the same length as the stock mirrors and won't hit your tun signals.
Amazon sells them for around $33. They are well worth it in fit, finish, and function.

Sounds good. Didn't really want to use the little stick on mirrors. They'll be here Tuesday from Amazon. Thanks much for the idea!

Those extenders are to view behind you better, not beside you ( blind spots) which is what those convex mirrors in your post are designed for.

More extension also could mean more vibration.
