Default Compatibility, 06' and '08 Controls

I was looking to pick up forward controls for an '08 Nightster and saw someone was selling forward controls from an '06 Nightster. I know all controls should be compatible from '04 to '13, but I'm wondering if what he is selling is all I will need. Here is this picture:

He said I will use my existing hardware and pegs. Is that true, will this deal work for me?

Looks like all the important stuff! You can check an on-line parts website, which should help.

Cool website, thanks for the link. Looks like the correct parts, I am just wondering if I have all the hardware... Those curved pieces are for forward controls exclusively, the ones that mount to the frame I guess. I am assuming a bike with mid controls will not have come with any hardware for those?

You're probably right. I have mids and have just installed hiway pegs that use the same frame lugs which those full forwards are mounted on. You can use that same link to look at models with each type of controls.

I pulled up the parts list for a 1200C, since the Nightster doesn't come with forwards. The mounting looks a little different on the 1200C though. Worse comes to worse I can probably stop by an HD dealer and pick up hardware, right?

Oh yes, you should be able to get every part that makes up your bike! Dealer may not have stock but will be able to get it for you.
