Trading in for larger bike
Well into my 2nd season of riding and almost 4,000 miles later. I think it just might be a tad underpowered for the way I ride.

Question?: Would upgrading to the 1200 Custom be enough, or should I opt for the Dyna Low Rider instead?
The 1200C is about the same 'size' as the 883, but more power, more chrome, and a few extra accessories. The Low Rider is a bit bigger than the 1200C.
Opinions sought. Thanks!!
If you are looking at just strickly the size of the bike and want to go bigger then staying with a Harley might be for you. However, if you are looking for power and the get up and go, you will have to look at other brands and even moving on to a foreign bike. I got both a 2013 Road King and a 2008 M109R and believe when I tell you that the M109R will rip your arms off and snap your neck back trying to hang on when you twist the throttle. I do the same on my 103 RK and to get the same feeling I have to wait, wait, wait, and wait some more, and that ummmpp never arrives.
On the California freeways and highways the 1200T has plenty of guts. I can cruise all day at 75 MPH and zip up to much higher speeds in a flash if I need to accelerate away from someone. And the 1200T is nimble enough that I can zip around town without feeling like the bike is fighting me. Not sure I'm ever going to want or need a bigger bike.
I did look at the 2015 Lowrider and it is a cool bike. If I ever went bigger that is definitely one I would consider. I am 5'8" and I can easily flat foot on the Lowrider.
But for now, the 1200 has plenty of power and features for me.
The difference between the 883 and 1200 is night and day. Look for a used bike that someone has already spent the money on pipes, seat, etc.
BTW, HD knows the stock pipes, seat, shocks, bars, etc suck. That is why they have a P&A catalog over an inch thick.
Summer is here put 180 miles on the sportster today and took some back roads to the coast that I don't think would be as much fun on a bigger bike.
That said enjoy either way.
