Passenger Pillion Help
Went to install the Harley Davidson passenger pillion on my 2013 seventy two today and could not get the pillion mounting screw to bite.
The instructions show a nylon washer being installed in between the pillion bracket and the fender. This washer has a raised inside edge and the screw is not long enough to bite with the washer in place.
Just wondering if anyone else who has installed this pillion has run into the same issue? The instructions indicate the screw is HD part number 2952A, it was the exact same size as the screw already installed in the fender without the pillion.

I ran into the same thing on mine.
The threads that were in the fender support bracket and just a hair off for the screw to be long enough.
I dropped a phillips head screwdriver down through the hole and thread , saw how far off it was , put a large bar between the tire and support bracket.
Push the bracket over till the screwdriver went straight and installed the bolt.
You could put in a longer bolt , tighten it all up , take it out with the bar still providing pressure , and then install the shorter bolt.
If need be , loosen anything near the fender support , get the pillion mounted , then tighten the rest back up.
