HD-48 --- buy 15 or 16?
Another thing to consider is that a lot of people swap the tanks on the 48 eventually anyway...when I was looking for mine the paint color was the last thing on my mind since I knew I was going to ditch the tank as soon as possible. Could save you some money just getting the black.

I ended up with the 14 for $8500 plus the tax and reg and the recon. I was right over 10k I am happy with it. All the used ones i looked at were more and no where near as nice. Hell i could drive myself crazy if i kept looking. I will have it soon and then the fun starts. Great info in these forums and it is appreciated.

To me none of the changes from 2010 -13 to 2014 are significant, with the exception of ABS.
You wont find a new 48 for 8500, but if you are patient enough you will find a used one with very low miles for 8k or less.
