Both bikes stay better planted at highway speeds and back country roads. Would never go back to stock springs.
Agreed, I've done this on a couple of my bikes as well. This is probably one of the best low-cost upgrades you can do to the bike. I don't personally think much of Progressive Shocks, but their drop-in springs are awesome.

TIA.

I'm sure there are better springs or suspension components but I have to say I'm very impressed with these springs compared to stock. I rode about 4 hrs this morning and aimed for every manhole cover and expansion joint and tar snake and stitch in the road I could find. The difference is amazing in the handling and feel of the front end now, it feels much "lighter" in the front end and also feels like I have more stability and control. The wobble that I was experiencing it the front end when cornering is gone as well. It was so bad at times all I could do to stop the wobble was come a complete stop. With the stock springs I could completely compress the front forks by pushing down with my arms, now I cannot with the new springs. I did not cut the preload spacers at all during installation which gave me about 1 or 1.5 inches of preload on the spacer plus the .75 or 1 inch of preload the the fork cap screw adds. So I could potentially have 2.5 inches of preload on the springs but I like the handling so far so I will most likely leave it as is. I hope this little review is helpful even though it is mostly my opinions.

The Progressive springs are much better than the stock ones for sure.
I used to be able to crush the stock springs with a 2 finger front brake application.
It is kinda nice not having to avoid every bump and hole in the road.
Thanks for sharing your install feedback.
Your opinion is the only thing that matters on "your bike" anyway.
Ride safe and enjoy.
