06 XLC - Speedometer, Odometer, and Neutral Light, not functioning. The self canceling lights do work. I've been trying to pry and unplug the VSS connector, but Darn! Is there a clip I need to push in or out?
I've also read that if the self cancelling lights do work, it's not the VSS?
I can't get any code reading, because it doesn't seem to be working. Also, when I click start, there is no engine light that comes on.
I doubt that it is the VSS if the directional lights cancel. I would look for a bad fuse, loose connection or bad switch. Do the lights in the speedo light up? How about the rest of the indicator lights (directionals, high beam, oil)?
All the fuses seem to be okay. The speedo lights up, but doesn't show the oil or batt indicator lights on the speedo. High beam doesn't light up, but the regular beam does.
Just because fuses seem to be OK, doesn't mean they are, try changing them, then look at the connectors and wiring, then clocks themselves, could be a bit of corrosion/dirt , before you start looking at expensive stuff.
Follow the loom from the clocks down to where the connection, unplug is and spray some electrical spray into it and clean with a mild wire brush, but don't go crazy, I have a charger that wont charge unless I clean out the connector every now and now, I also had a problem where my indicators didn't work, when I looked at them they look fine, but I didn't like the look of the wiring to the connectors they looked off colour, so I replaced the connector and it all worked again.
Always start with the simple things.

I would take another look at the fuses. #6 is a spare and I would try swapping it with #7. If that does not work I would start checking all the connections for the speedometer and the indicator lights (Left, Right, Oil, Neutral, High Beam). Another thing to check would be the ignition switch and it's connections.
