Has anyone installed the Drag Specialties Forward control kit for Sportsters? Looking for some reviews on it but not able to find too many online. Cost is a little less overall since it looks like with the HD kit I will need new pegs or have to grind down the offset clevis.
i have it on,works fine done about 2400km with it this seson.
only minus is on mine the rear brake level sits a little low(almost flat), but iam 6.2 so it´s okey for me, i had to work the brake lever wenn fitted because off a little to much paint no biggie if i could get a longer brake rod it would be perfekt just 1-2cm longer. but i don´t know if maybe i got a wrong one???
regards

There is a good reason why an H-D kit costs a little more! It fits.....
Mrs B and I both ride our Sporty and looked at installing forwards, but ended up with highway pegs instead. We still get to ride feet forward, but it took less effort to fit the kit. Just a thought!
Ended up going with the HD kit. Looks pretty solid but the dealer sold me the wrong pegs, so lacking a grinder for the offset clevis I'm waiting for the right pegs to come in. Hopefully I'll be able to do this during my time off at the end of the year.
I'll let you know when I get them off the bike, it might be a couple of weeks yet. But most likely, I don't think I'll want to switch back but have to try it out a little first.
Does anyone happen to know the part number for the black diamond pegs that work with the offset clevis? I have been to the dealer twice and they keep giving me the wrong ones. The ones they give me would work for the mids but not the offset.
On the upside, with an offset torx wrench it was possible to removed and install without taking off the exhaust or the slipons so that was nice.
Thanks!
Nevermind, figured it out with like 2 seconds on the HD site. Looks like it is the same ones they use on the 48 if you get the forward controls.
