Well, bit the bullet and went with a sportster version of the Techno Research Direct Link flash tuner. The man behind the [or should I say ] in front of the computer monitor is Nick @ Shamrock Cycles in Round Rock, Tx. Was wanting some feed back on this flash tuner. I was having problems with my 2012 1200 custom...running very rough in the mid-RPM range. Had installed an AN Stage II Big Sucker intake and a pair of American Custom slip-ons. The pipes are straight thru, baffling only for sound. I had put a pair of XIEDs...they did not work on this bike. Removed them, problem still existed, just not as noticeable. Nick is performing a thorough diagnostic. Am looking forward to the results.
Has anyone else had experience with Techno Research?

Update us when its done. I'm only 150 miles from Austin, so checking out his work may be worthwhile.

Here are comments on the installation of a Techno Research Direct Link flash tuner.
What a difference a dyno done by a master "dynotechnician" can make.
Initial readings for hp was 66...torque was 68 ft.lbs. After completion of the tuning the figures were 80 hp and 78 ft.lbs of torque. I was elated to say the least. This 2012 1200 custom was running at peak performance. All I can say is, if you want someone to get your bike to its best, by all means, Nick @ Shamrock Cycles and Performance in Round Rock Texas is the man for the job.
He took me on the dyno and showed me what he was going to do to the bike.
I picked it up last Sat. Due to holiday responsibilities I was unable to contact Nick when I returned from RR. that afternoon. He called me on Sunday to check with me on the return trip. Yes, HE CALLED ME ON HIS DAY OFF. The return milage was about 60 miles with 30 miles on a high speed toll road. The bike got a good test. I cannot say enough about Shamrock Cycles and especially Nick Ashcraft, the owner. If you live near Austin, and you want a superior job done on your bike, you are doing yourself an injustice not talking to this man.

Sorry mike, I got your PM, but I've been running around like a nut Christmas shopping and helping my youngest daughter out. Will e-mail soon, thanks.
