Here are some nylon ones for a pretty good price, the bid is at $80.00 right now, but...they are for 94-03 XL models and the bid ends in 11 hours from the time of my post. Maybe you can find the same ones for 04 and up. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harle...14508621QQrdZ1
I hope to buy some this week for my 2006 1200L, and can't make up my mind. I just added a Voyager trike conversion kit so I want as large as possible to fill up the empty space between the rear fender and the trike fenders. These are pretty cool, they are leather but don't have buckles. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...09296542QQrdZ1
I plan on getting two sets, a smaller slant version with conchos and a large set for long trips. Sorry, I can't post the links to those, I don't need any more competition when I bid ...LOL
Corbin can stick his prices up his ***! They are pretty much what im looking for, I even like the front fairing but to spend around 2k for this stuff??????? WTF!!!
Go to Sporttour and look at the Cortech compact sport bags. I bought a set for a (soon to get here) KLR. I tried them on my '07 XL883 for a one day ride, and they work so well that now they are for the sportster only! Pull off the seat, adjust the length, drap over and replace the seat. The profile matches the tank(teardrop) and look pretty good. They are foam lined so they maintain their shape. They come with neopheme(sic) pads to protect the paint, and work very well. Not very traditional, but very fuctional.
Last concern I have is do they flap around when your riding or can you get brackets to hold them on with? They're probably so small you don't need brackets but figure'd I would ask. Got a pic of em on your bike?
I have a set of the harley rigid leather saddle bags that I would sell. They were used on the bike for less that 1000 miles and look brand new. (They came with the bike when I bought it used.) If you're interested I'd take $450for them.
