Just wondering how many sportster owners keep their bike in a storage unit? If so what size? I was thinking about renting a unit for the spring-fall so I have my bike closer to my apt(only covered parking). I don't feel safe leaving the bike under the covered parking as I have heard too many bad stories about bikes being stolen or messed with under there. Anyways just seeing what your arrangements where for those folks not fortunate to own a home with a garage.

I don't have that problem in FL. but you say "spring-fall " I assume you mean fall-spring. Storage unit size would be big enough to get the bike through the door. Best advice if the storge unit is not heated would be to remove the battery and take it home where it's kept at room temp. Put a battery tender on it, at least periodically.
