Well I ordered the FP3 along with V&H Short Shots Staggered with quiet baffels and the VO2 intake kit. I also downloaded the FP3 app and ran the demo. I really like how you can specify everything that you have added. I'm sure I will get no where near the results of a dyno or maybe some other tuners out there but this will work fine for me. If I get better performance without messing up my bike, I'll be happy. Plus I will get to do everything myself.
Just my thoughts...
Can be done with pv. It comes preloaded with hundreds of maps. Exact same tailored results are possible. Again, not tied to ONE BIKE.

I didn't find PV to have so many maps.
Also, I will say PV has one problem, if you use one of their custom pre-made maps you somehow lose your gear indicator. You have to use auto tune if you don't want to lose that. I'm testing taking a copy of my original tune and copying the numbers from a custom PV tune to it to see if I then can retain keeping my gear indicator. I did that on winPV last night so next time I ride I will test it out. Maybe today if I can get away.

Maps are there on mine.
Odd issue. I dont have that issue on my dyna. All my tuning was based on a pre-loaded tune for a fxdg with a/c and slipons. Must be a sporty thing, my 07 xl has no gear indicator and has a real tach. I hate the digital tach in the dyna, i hate where the speedo is as well... jell, i dont really like that bike, i'm trying to like it though.
I also lost the gear indicator on my 2014 sportster as well. I tried changing the gear value in the custom to match my original tune but it didn't work. I sent the guys at DynoJet a copy of my 2014 sportster original tune and they copied one of their tunes to it. It works and I did not loose my gear indicator. But I have since made my own maps for my original tune especially the fuel map and with auto tune my bike runs perfect. Using winpv on your computer you can go into all the maps on your tune and change any part of them you want. Its easy once you get the hang of it. The guys at Dynojet can walk you through it as well.
Not sure about the quoted hp on the bikes, though. I think a Vmax puts out north of 150hp. At least the earlier models did.
Yeah, could be some bad googling. There's an $8-10k delta with those to play with though and they look like more of a naked streetfighter than a cruiser. No hate from me though, looks like a solid bike if that's what you're in to.

dude.... git outta here! the very first vmax will flay your bike. it is not a game, at all. it's hell on wheels. i'm still trying to figure out how that sportster in the vid did it. 143hp... in the 1980's
Went for another few rides with the new tuning. One of my fuel ups I checked my mpg and it was 66 miles for .96 gal. I didn't pay attention to the others but I will now.
I'll have to check it more closely, but I was getting 40-45 before, so this would be quite incredible. Better performance better mpg? Sounds good to me.
