I found the RSD seat for $312 and Harley wants $350. i'm curious to see how much the mustang seat is with a custom made plain seat, instead of pleated, the standard pleated is going for $283 online, although higher on the mustang website. the saddleman is $312 also.

I like the look of the ones with the whole setup. Doesn't look super comfortable though.

I have a Saddlemen Cafe for my '99 883. Great seat, really comfortable. Looks way more classic than the RSD...

is it that uncomfortable? I have the RSD avenger seat and ive done 250 mile days and it wasn't so bad. I had assumed the solo café would be more comfortable than the avenger
I wished. Went to NYC for the first time last year and loved it!

Funnily enough a couple of people here have asked me about selling it as they know Im not really getting on with it. But I love the look of it and the way the hump keeps you in place and of course the look of it. It makes the rear fender not look so long and kinda draws the bike in a bit, if you see what I mean. so i just can't bring myself to sell it.

But yes it is very uncomfortable, or at least it is for me. Its really firm and feels like you're sitting on a plank. That said I'm told they break in (?) and its either getting more comfortable or I'm just getting used to it as it doesn't seem or feel as *** numbing as it was? It probably didn't help that I changed my bars which altered my seating position and in effect put me back to square 1 again. D'oh!

Mr T, I suspect it's your backside that will break first! I'm sure we have an upholsterer over here who can make life a bit more bearable.

I can get the new Harley café seat for $300. it's a lot, but $50 cheaper than dealer cost. I just think it's a little stiff like a bench. the lapera stubbs café looks very similar to the harley seat, might be a little more comfortable though.
going to see what the price is on the mustang cafe first, in a smooth design. or if an RSD pops up for a decent price i'd grab it
