I wonder what the difference is between part number

46449-08 and 45500076?

My bike is a 14', didn't axle sizes change?

Forgot to add that as stated previously, the black roadster slider
is not a gloss black, its more of semi-gloss, not flat. I hit with some
steel wool, cleaned it thoroughly with some mineral spirits, let dry, then
painted it with some Black Appliance Epoxy paint. I'm pleased with
the results so far.

And since I had the forks apart, I added Ricor Intiminators (~$180) and
Amsoil 5w Shok Therapy fork oil.

hope this helps,

T.

#45500076 appears to be either buffed or polished (not sure).

#46449-08 is cheaper - ~$139
#45500076 is ~$175

What spacers are you referring to? Stock wheel so no spacer changes
needed there & no need for caliper mount spacers either....

The spacers on the axle. I'm not sure wtf im talking about, but i was asking to be sure i didn't run into any more surprises. So, you just bolted everything up?

The only surprise I can think of would be if you call Arlen Ness & they dont offer a
caliper adapter for the RH side (since appears you're doing a large rotor changeout)

WKNDS-

I did some further digging, from 2013 to 2014 there was a change in axle size.

2014 Iron 883 and a 2014 Roadster use a 43000001 Axle
2013 Iron 883 and a 2013 Roadster use a 43895-08 Axle

All of the information your provided is correct for a 2013 dual disk conversion.

For a 2014-2016 Iron 883 owner, you will need the 45500076 right fork slider. It will not be an exact match in color for your left slider as it is a SEMI gloss black, not a gloss black.

I am aware that I will need the brake master cylinder and lines to make this work. However I just wanted to clarify what is needed.

I plan on ordering both left and right fork sliders off of the 2014 Roadsters. That way they match color wise and they have OEM durable paint finish.

Ill keep everyone posted on exact part numbers and any further information I come across alone the way.

Thank you everyone for your input.

I called them and they said they didnt, too much braking power.

I thought about it for a minute and figured that since the calipers mounts during the pre2007 dyna time period and sportster caliper mounts have really changed. I went out to the garage and test fitted the adapter that came with the big brake kit 02-965 (was wrong for my 2013 dyna, fits 2006 and down dynas). It fit perfectly.

So i ordered 02-267 (rh kit for 2006 and down dyna). when i mount both, i will switch to the dyna adapters. Solved.

I'll be flipping over the handlebars in no time.

it looks like kit --FORK REBUILD XL- 49378-09 (https://www.surdyke.com/AdvPartInfo....umber=49378-09) only services one fork, yes?

i'm trying to pinch a pennies since i'm already in project cost overrun with another sporter rear axle overhaul and dyna twin disk conversion still waiting to be done. learning a lot through hard knocks though.

i found this but am leary of the cheapness.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/39mm-FORK-SE...tTxrp3&vxp=mtr

can anyone vouch for another quality set the will not run $30+ per fork? i'll cough it up if need be.

drag has a kit, but i have sworn them off as evil. http://www.bikebandit.com/aftermarke...d-kit?m=152031
