Wow that is an extremely tall windshield. Proper height should be top edge horizontally level with the tip of your nose ,or just slightly below eye level. You must be very tall which would make the bike too small for you or the windshield is improperly sized. You should be looking over the windshield and not through it for safety reasons. Perhaps the reason it was free...lol.
Thanks for your input. You are correct in one sense that it was FREE lol. i think you overrlooked the springer seat which sits higher than stock. if you must know the edge of the windshield. is in line with my nose.. In essence your assumption is incorrect in terms of the bike being improperly fit or that it is to small for me. But yes nothing beats FREE
I had to serve federal grand jury 13 mo's every thurs in the city a few years back. Always liked scootin around through traffic with the bike in the city. Back then GGB toll was free for bikes. Not any more right? Used to come down by the Marina-up (way up) Divisadero to Goldengate to the underground parking garage by the court house in Motrorcycle parking. The same 5 or 6 abandoned motorcycles and scooters are probably sitting in that parking garage

Yeah no more free toll that sucks. SF traffic is pretty much the same. and yes I am sure they still are down there lol.
how do you u turn with those bars? how do you lane split with those in SF? props
i get alot of leverage on steering can lean and turn with no issues.
Lane splittin is no problem. i commute on thr bay bridge every day.but with this config it is a lil more cumbersome then when i have drag bars on. even more so then my Thruxton.

Just a follow up guys. i rode down to Santa Cruz down highway 1 with the winshield on. i may need a spoiler to add a few inches on or put stock seat and shocks back on.The windshield comes up above my chin. The wind comes off the shield and beats my head aroumd. However it does Protect my body well tho.The shield is 17.5 inches from top center from headlight opening to top edge of shield center.
Not sure how that one attaches but When I had the mid glide on my dyna and on my wifes windshield-arching it out on the top helped with buffeting you describe. Adding ž"or so at the top clamp with mending plates may help. Check it out-look closely behind throttle cables.
