Did you polish them on the bike? I am thinking to do the same, take them off for polishing but I only have time for riding lol. Definitely my winter project.

Thanks SportyP,
Doing it on the Bike. I took the tire off, supposedly to take it in and get new rubber mounted. Started with 220 grit paper, dry, to get the Clear coat off,,,,then 400, wet, then the Air Tool and some Jewlers Rouge. I also filed the casting lines off around the tabs for the fender and Caliper. Blended them in. I guess I got about 4 hours instead of 2 in it. Time flies when I'm having fun, but Everybody Loves Raymond but me anyway!

Polishing the Sliders is something I been considering since I polished the Outer ring of the Rear Belt Pulley. Gonna do the Rear Rim lip next.

Cool..I keep looking at my bike and thinking I need more black with all the chrome on the custom - I've though about maybe having the outer rims powercoated black like the nightsters but I'm not sure how well it would hold up on the road...plus removing and reinstalling spokes would be a pita..I think i'd just go with custom wheels even though they're really expensive to get that look.

I am changing my air filter cover to vivid black and going with a K&N Black Oil Filter to get things moving in that direction..

Man that looks fantastic, I can't believe you actually took sand paper to it. I hate the ridges around the caliper mounts It's worth doing just for that. Are you going to coat it with something when you are done?

Thanks,
Sandpaper and a File!
When I painted it, I removed the rivets in the fender, and welded the fender to the fender bracket, I always thought them casting marks stood out bad after gettin rid of the ugly rivets.
I don't know about Clear coating it, I'm gonna talk to the Dude that painted it, and see what he says. The rear pulley that I polished aint no trouble keepin lookin good, Quick Detail wax and wipe it on, wipe it off and it looks good as new, so I don't know. I noticed while sanding and polishing that the Forks take a beatin! Lottsa little dings and dents, so clear coat may be a waste of time.
