How well does the Harbor Freight Stand/Chock support a custom Sportster with the 21" narrow wheel? Wondering how stable it is without straps when used in a garage.
Which stand are you talking about? The black stand with the adjustable wheel part holds my bagger with no problems, I am completely comfortable with it. The chrome tubular one, I don't think it would be all that stable. The black one lagged to the garage floor will do the job for you

Use this for my 2015 Breakout. Very good, stable, no need for straps.

I think he's looking for Narrow wheel/tire users...you've got a 130 tire (just like the baggers width) with a 3.5" wide. He's got an 80 with a 2.15" wide rim

Yes, looking to see how the narrow tire stands up in the stand. Figured there would be room on the sides of the tire and wonder how much it would move around.

I have on and a 98 XL1200C with the 21 inch wheel. I would never, ever use it without straps. The size of the wheel doesn't allow the back chock to fully engage. At least that is what I think is happening. It works fine once you strap the bike down. Depending on what you are doing you might just be better of with a motorcycle lift.
The black one with the locking rear half is a little wide for 19/21" wheels so they flop around in there a little. So strapping it down is mandatory. I have that one mounted to my lift as the front wheel holder and it works fine. Takes a solid pull or push to get it locked in since it has to ride over the entry piece and fold it over but it's not unbearable.
Buy a Condor, best money I spent in years on a tool. Holds all of my bikes with the same amount of confidence, 16" 19" and 21" wheels. My Flathead has been on it for the last 4 weeks during current winter mods without straps, I can even lift the back with a jack and the Condor holds the bike upright. Right tool for the right job.
