You can see them at the top of the shock in the picture, the Schrader valve is brass and there is a chrome tire valve cap on the brass valve. You can use the normal black plastic valve cap but I always use the metal chrome valve caps on my tires so I used them on the shocks too.
This is the brass Schrader valve with 1/4 thread that fits the shocks.

i'm looking at them on ebay right now. ?'s:
  1. why do they have a hose connecting the two in some auctions? Hose connects the two shocks, making pressures equal and only one valve to add air.
  2. what kind of oil are you adding to them? I used Amsoil 5W - called "Shock therapy suspension fluid" that I got at a nearby dealer.
  3. how are you getting the oil in? I conjured a few pieces of 2x4 and made a lever and mount for the shock. That way I could compress the shock easily. I used this contraption to empty the fluid and then turned the shock the other way around, connected a brass fitting with a nipple on it that connected to a hose that was connected to a funnel. I would pump the shock, the air would purge out and when I released the pressure, it would suck fresh fluid back in.

Are you runing individual valves ? Yes , so no hose around ? Correct, if so ... wich valve do i need to buy ? I went to Oreilly's Auto and bought two air valves (same as what goes into a tire). Oreilly's had them labeled as air tank valves , thanks !!!

Thanks for your post Troops141 !!!

I just ordered the valves, will have them in couple days, and already got from a friend a set of street glide shocks. I didnt made the conversion yet because of the hoses, so your post was inspiring or me, thanks again ... will post soon how it goes, now im looking for a small gauged air pump for the shocks.

I got this :

You will not regret it.. Be sure that you add washers to the top and bottom of the shocks, especially the one on the belt side. I ordered this pump
Amazon.com: Motorcycle Air Shock Pump Harley Davidson Honda Kawasaki Suzuki Yamaha: Automotive Amazon.com: Motorcycle Air Shock Pump Harley Davidson Honda Kawasaki Suzuki Yamaha: Automotive
it is cheap and so far works good.

Also be sure that you change the fluid in the shocks, that way you know how much and that you have good oil in them.

Per this thread - https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...nd-length.html Yes, it will fit.. Those look like 12" shocks, which seem to be the most desirable if you are looking to stay close to stock height.

Thanks Troops141...didn't even think to search the tread for a list. Cool. Those I am looking at are selling for 90 but may negotiate down to 60 since not sure if I want black shocks.

Either way that is a good deal.. I think I paid $125 off ebay and that was the cheapest I could find.. If that is your bike in your photo, looks like your saddle bags will cover the shocks anyways. Or you could buy them, sell them on ebay for 2x as much and then buy chrome ones.
