Looks like I have a test ride on one of these scheduled for Sunday! I can't wait. Any owners want to chime in with advice for a novice?

Here is a video of my first ride from the dealer. Nothing crazy, just easy riding.

Hmm...is "Lane-Splitting" not illegal in NY? (intentional double negative. California's stance)

Being born and raised in CA, had to chuckle at this report

It is, but riding in NY, it is impossible not to do it. What is the point of riding a bike and get stuck in traffic. Just need to be careful. My group and I split-lanes when in slow traffic but not on fast moving traffic. Some cops will get you, some cops won't.

It's funny what we all take for granted if it has "always been that way"...where ever you're from

Don't rag it out! Someone will buy it at some point and they don't want the brakes to be squealing at 50 miles because a test rider clamped the brakes like a tiger's jaw.

Absolutely. I couldn't in good conscience beat on someone else's $12k bike! The weather was really crummy today, but I still got 4-5 careful miles in, and I really enjoyed it! It's very high on the list for when I'm ready for something new.

Got some goodies for the bike. Looks and handles better for me. Still waiting on the proper gauge mount from the mail, but this will do for now.
