1987 883XLH. Replacing front brake line. All research points to 12mm on master, 10mm on caliper. Nope. 11mm on the master. This seems really odd to me, as 11mm anything is unusual, let alone for an HD. Anybody have any experience with this? I'm having a hell of a time trying to find an 11mm banjo fitting... might just be easier to upgrade the master?

 

You sure it's an 11mm? On my bike it's 3/8"-24 for all but the front master cylinder, which is 7/16"-24 thread. I don't think they made the switch to metric until the rubbermount.

 

This why I joined this forum. I was moving in the wrong direction based off of what an HD mechanic told me. After your post, I remeasured and you are absolutely correct, it is 7/16". Things just got a lot easier...
