Sorry, but no factory Saturn is running a 4 sec 0-60 or there's be some numbers out there on it.

GM says a 2006 runs 6.2...

One of the fastest "factory stock" cars I've ever driven is a friends 2006 Z06 'Vette, which has the 427 CI LS7 engine that is factory rated at 505 horsepower and 470 pounds of torque. The car only weighs 3,150 pounds, so it's a real power house. I believe he paid around $68,000 for it, or something in that range.

He hasn't taken it up to it's top speed, which I can understand as it's advertised at reaching 195 MPH at it's 7,000 RPM redline.

It's suppose to be able to do zero to sixty in 3.7 seconds (factory figures), but he said that his times are about 4.5 seconds from zero to sixty, and 12.3 seconds at 122 MPH in the quarter mile.

I'm sure he could improve on those figures somewhat if he were to mount some good slicks, but he isn't that much of a 'racer'..

I've got a number of 'fair weather' vehicles that I've had build up, and one of my favorites is a '94 9C1 Police Package LT1 Caprice that was build up a couple years ago.

Very comfortable and perfectly happy during 'normal driving', but it will run 12.7 quarter mile times. But believe me, it costs money to get those heavy vehicles to run that quick. LoL

Old Fender,

I drove an 1994 LT1 Caprice as my assigned vehicle for 7 years. That was the best patrol car that I have ever been in. I sure hated to see that one go.

I've had some of the Highway Patrol and Deputy friends of mine tell me the same thing, thatthey held on to their 9C1's as long as possible, and hated when they had to finally go with the Ford CVPI's.

I found a list of the stuff my mechanic did on my '94 9C1 just to get it into the 12's...

As the old saying goes; performance isn't cheap. LoL...

PCM Programming, 160* Stat, LT4 ESC, EGR Delete, Air Pump Delete, Cold Air Induction, Tri-Y Headers, 2.5" Catback, Stage II Ported 2.02/1.60 Heads, 2600 TC, Eaton w/4.10, GM 845 Cam (214/224), and 1104/0929 Bilsteins.

I've been driving a 2002 Crown Vic since it was new, when the Caprice got retired. I can honestly say that it has been a good car. I can't think of one mechanical problem that it has had. However, it just isn't the car the Caprice was. I probablycould have gotten a new car t his year if I asked for one, however we are still getting Fords. I'm gonna hold out for a Charger.

Well it is Saturday morning and I should try to go out for a short ride since the rain is in the Ft. Worth area. Looks like I'll be cleaning the house this afternoon since the bike and the boat will be in the garage. DANGIT...
