Question Installing Chainsikle rearsets - leftside mounting question

I'm installing some rearsets made by Chainsikle and it appears that the leftside footpeg is to be installed in the location of the rear brake reservoir. I've removed the reservoir, per the instructions.

Now when I'm looking to install the bracket for the footpeg, it appears the top screw is to go into a location that has a plug... I'm guessing that's what it is?

Please see photos. Does this plug come out? If so, how/what's the best way to remove it. I just don't want to mess something up or try to remove something that is permanent, lol. That would definitely by my luck.

Any help with this is much appreciated or if anyone has installed these that info would be fantastic as well. Thanks again.

That plug should come out, that hole is for the factory passenger pegs. I would try popping the plug out with a screw driver or needlenose pliers.
