Default Chin Fairing Questions XL883N

I'm thinking of getting a chin fairing for my 2015 XL883N. I'd like to buy an unpainted one, then rattle can it to match my brilliant pearl silver tins.

All the chin fairings I've been able to find online are on eBay, and virtually all of those from Chinese sellers. Prices look OK, but it's impossible to assess quality. Any advice about that? Anyone know of a domestic supplier/seller? (For what it's worth, I've never used eBay.)

Second question is about fitment. Some sources I've read say that a chin fairing can't be fitted to an ABS-equipped sportster. Others say it can. Anyone have any experience with this issue? "

Thanks!

Alan

1. Chinese? DO IT! do not pay $200+ for it from hd...

i did it here with the ebay-tastic cheapo.
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...tructions.html

2. review the facts...
blue=abs area
red=fairing area

the fairing connects to the vacant bolt holes on the front of your frame (will take some "persuasion ")
there is no interference with abs... the abs module sits in the rear

abs module
and there is space between the regulator and the chin fairing mounting area for the lines running from the tee on the forks.

people just say silly stuff without research, just to say stuff. fk'um

your fairing will bolt up just fine. no worries.. get the cheapo and be happy. mine is still going strong

Pal of mine has the genuine H-D one, on his black '07 XL1200R and it looks great! Jus' sayin'.....

I've been a customer of Ebay for many years. I live in the UK and use both UK and US Ebay with complete satisfaction. I've only ever had one problem, several years ago. After taking a quick look there seem to be several different styles offered. Personally I would only buy one which shows it installed, so I can size it up.
