Default Tire pressure recommendations?

Just curious: my stock tire sidewalls say 41 psi rear, and 40 psi front.

Is this the number you would use when topping off the air, or would you use something lower? I ride by myself (170#).

Thanks! Keith

Are you on the stock tires, and are they the same "recommended" psi?

personally, I use 36 in the rear, and 34 in front. I ride 2-up quit a bit, and that seems to handle best for me.

Your owners manual will recommend different tire pressure than what is on your tires. I follow the owners manual and up both the front and rear by 2 lbs.

This is what our local HD shop recommends as well.

i use 32 f - 38 r (got this from the tire manufacturer and she looked up my ride (2007 883 low). Interestingly, my manual says nothing about tire pressure!
