Hey all, I just bought the 58703-09 quick release windshield for my 2016 iron 883. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it on. It is the correct part number for that year and model. Did any of you have issues or have to reroute your cables. I've seen most people with the windshield say even though the directions called for moving the cables that they didn't have too, but I haven't seen any info about that for the iron. Thanks in advance.
I got it Apparently I was still asleep and wasn't pushing hard enough on the clamps. I did not have to relocate the cables like the instructions said. Everything is free flowing and able to move without interference.
Sometimes you have to keep the clamps pressed against the forks to snap in place easier, but looks like you have that figured out. I changed my cables to braided on my Custom, but did not move them for the shield. No issues with rubbing on the shield.
Post up some pics when you can. We always love to see pics here.
