Does the use of the Quick Release windshield really require the relocation of any cables on an Iron? I see that the instructions call for it, but is there an Iron owner here that has first-hand experience with one of these?
I don't know about the Iron, but I have a 1200C and have a quick detach windshield and I didn't have to do anything. It goes on and off in about 30 seconds..
I would think that it would be much the same for all Sportys, but maybe I'm wrong?

Thanks!
I have both an 883L & a 1200C, and did not relocate anything.
It's been a couple years since I bought mine but I think I remember that the instructions said to relocate the clutch cable to the inside of the fork tube. You could easily do that with a 1/2" and a 9/16" wrench, and about 10 minutes time. But unless your cable gets bound up by the windshield I leave well enough alone.
This Iron (hopefully arrives this week) will be my first HD, so I'm not certain on how well this would fit. I just know that I want some type of windscreen and I am debating between the Gladiator and the HD Quick Release. Surdyke has 20% off today with free UPS shipping, so I might get this before the bike arrives.
