Glad your ok! Crashing sucks... sorry to hear about the wrist... That sucks too! but it sounds like your noggin is ok, go buy another nightster and keep it shiny, uhm[sm=sorry.gif], dull side up? I am so confused...!
Get well soon, and get back on the horse.[sm=deadhorse.gif]
Just giving everyone an update. Wrist is still broken pretty good lol, they want to wait a week before I see a specialist to determine if I need surgery or not. But wow it hurts haha....although not as much as my pride. Progressive came out yesterday to look @ the bike and went through and quoted anything and everything that might need to b replaced or had any kind of scratch.....came up with a quote of a little over 5k, what do ya'll think I should do? I am gunna look at the aftermarket and see what I can find to get her back on the road safely and also add some custom. I'll get some pics this weekend.
That Blows! I have been seeing alot of loose gravel/sand on the roads lately especially at intersections...the most convenient place for it. I thing all this rain we have been getting is washing it into the streets.
Glad you are ok!
Lots of gravel on the roads here too but it's from the road crews that grade the shoulder of the road then run a sweeper to try and sweep it all back on the shoulder. They do a lousy job. Every curve has gravel on it. I've been taking a different route to work ever since. They don't think about bikes when doing road work like that. I am not surprised.
Man! Really sorry to hear that. You have a great attitude though. Hang in there. Gravel is scarry. I hit a patch a few days ago just on the end of curve. I was glad I saw it in time and was able to slow down and straighten up. If it had been dark, who knows.
Be sure and update us with some pics and let us know what the Docs say about your wrist.
Get back on as soon as you can and don't let the cobwebs and gremlins claim your bike.
That sux about the bike, but good you didn't get hurt real bad. Just out of curiousity, how many miles were on it when it happened? I've been in a few wipeouts/wrecks/getting hit with a car, and the last time only had @ 500 miles on the odometer. Collapsed lung, snapped ribs, shoulder out, knocked out for a few seconds too, but I was sooo p'o'd about the bike that I pushed that mf'er back about a quarter mile to the house before I realized I was hurting. Not good when the adrenaline wears off. Get better and get back in the saddle man.
Thats funny you said that, I pushed my last bike about a quarter mile just to get away from the scene of the crime..didn't have a license and it was at night[sm=headbang.gif] then I relized that the kill switch got pushed during the crash.....[sm=headbang.gif][sm=headbang.gif][sm=headbang.gif] besides the caved in tank and replaceble bolt ons i was outa there with only a smile on my face knowing what kind of goodies I'll be buying in the morning.
