Engine casings
Hi all, new guy from UK here, just acquired my 5th sporty (1999 hugger 883) my trouble is that the engine casings are a little corroded, any ideas on the best way to clean them up ?

Can use mag wheel cleaner , which is a phosphorus based acid.
Basic oven cleaner from grocery store will also work but is more aggressive than mag wheel cleaner.
Have also used a fiber hand drill operated abrasive wheel, which is the least aggressive.

Soda blasting works great and you don't need to spend a bundle on the setup, if you already have a good compressor.
