Installed the VisionX headlight and their low hi adapter so both beams are on in hi beam mode. $300 but loving it over the Piaa replacement bulb. And great company based in Seattle, always working on improving lights for the future.
i found that the vision x vortex led is the same exact light as the custom dynamics trubeam, just rebranded... i'm thinking vision x made it as CD shills it under license. monstrous light output.
Pricing doesn't always reflect quality. However, I love my Daymaker. If I had to do it again I may have got the CD headlamp as it has a polycarbonate lens versus the Daymaker being glass.
One little thing to remember: Harley Daymaker: Country of Origin: U.S.A. Y
one of my buddys bought the $50 amazon one. ive ridden next to him at night and his light beats the crap out of my stock bulb AND my mini truck LED light i installed. for the price i say its worth it. i even thought of giving one a try

8690a is where it's at. hands down, best light on the market
FWIW, I bought the 'original' HD daymaker back in 2013. It is nice,
except for the price. If I had to do it over, it'd be the JWSpeaker
8690a as you've mentioned (in black )
