I-30 W to US 67 (yea I hate Interstate too!)
US 67 to US 259
Hang out in Broken Bow
US 259 to OK 144 to US 271
Hit the Talimena Byway over to Mena
Your on your own from there...there are just too many excellent choices east and north. Hot Springs is always a good destination! If you decide to go north on Ark 7, take your time! It is a great route but can be challenging at times. There is a place in Jasper that makes the best burgers (not sure if they are possum or not...)!
If you come back through Shreveport stay off of I-20...go north on 220! I-20 through town just sucks! Will beat you to death!
Have fun! Sure wish I was headed out with you! Looks like no vacation time this year for me!
