I'm trying to finish out my winter rebuild and I think I'm almost there. I'm probably delusional, but I'm optimistic I'll be face in the wind soon.
I'm painting the tins the Toyota 4X0 Inferno. It's similar to Victory's Nuclear Sunset.
Anyway, I wan't to put some graphics on the fuel tank. I've got an idea to have my local artist airbrush the attached picture on the tank, but I'm afraid it will be a fortune, and I might replace my tank for a larger one in the future anyway.
So, here's my question. Does anyone know a good source for tank decals or stencils? Not necessarily OEM, just good quality decals.
If you take what you want to a place that does vehicle wraps, they will have some of the best stuff to stand the test of time as far a decals go. Most of them will die cut just about anything you can imagine if it is a well set up shop

I took a few minutes and slipped over to the local indy (Sinworx) just now, and they referred me to a shop nearby who will cut them for me. Any design I settle on.
Also if you're looking for any input on first impressions...I would slightly change the area at the "a" and "r" in "Harley" something similar to what I've shown below your original. The original stands out too much as being inconsistent... IMO
I would advise against clear coating over a decal oracle651 10yr outside vinyl doesn't react well with urethane based paints or clear due to the type of adhesive . Oracle 631 wall vinyl is a interior decal is better suited to your needs however has very limited durability in outside applications. I suggest using it as a decal without the clear or as a stencil and painting it on. I've done this already last summer search my posts if interested. Also if your interested on my pintrest page I have a hundred or so vinyl stencils for sports term tanks if interested I'll get you a link.
