Default Throttle "snapback" issue after drag bar install

All,

Just installed a new drag bar on a 2015 iron 883 and, for some reason I am not able to get the throttle to "snap" back after opening it up. Ive tried to adjust both screws and havent had much luck with alot of variations of tightening between the two nuts. The only thing that I've been able to do to make them "snap" back is keep the screws for the actual throttle housing (the case for the off switch, start, right turn signal etc) relatively loose. I feel like this is not right bc eventually the vibrations of the bike will rattle those completely loose so I should be able to tighten them a good amount and do all of the adjustment from the two throttle nuts. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Make sure the right grip is not pushed all the way against the bars. Loosen it and move it about 1/8" and see if you get snap back

That worked. Thanks a ton man. Other than opening up the air filter and making sure the throttle opens completely is there anything else special about adjusting the throttle and throttle return nut? Or is it just tighten until it feels good?

The procedure is outlined in the Owners and Factory Service Manual. Short answer is yes, but you want good springback and a slight free play.

I just did the same install. I looked in the manual and it made it easy.
