your better off to go with a detachable one. they cost a lot more but well worth the money.

you're looking at about $330 from the dealer including all the hardware for the detachable, which is the way to go. you might find it cheaper on ebay. i have the standard on my 1200c and it is a must IMO. good luck with your search.

I have had detachable and quick release. Both cost about the same. I personally like the quick release. You can not adjust them like you can the detachable, but you can pull them off real easy. Four little levers and it comes completely off. Where as the detachable ones, you can adjust, but to take them off you have to use an Allen wrench and you still have the hardware on your forks. Im using a quick release right now and have not needed to adjust it. It works the same as my old detachables. I love it.

WOW! $330! I was thinking about getting a detachable one myself but I think I might hold off for awhile. I didn't realize they were that expensive! I think I will do an Ebay search myself....

The only problem is that i'm 16 and i don't have a credit card and my dad doesn't believe in ebay so it makes it a little hard.
