Wow. 7 k I think Id be leary too. I have bougth lots of bike parts on ebay and never had a problem. I always check the sellers feedbacks before I bid on anything. Still, 7,000 is too much to play with.
Can someone tell me if a windshield makes a big difference on the way the bike rides and handles? I would think it would add some more front downforce if anything or possibly push the wind up in your face. For around town, I dont think I need a windsheild but when Im on the open road doing 60+ sometimes the headwinds get a little frustrating. Will a windshield help that? Just wondering before I decide to drop the money for one. Personally, I like the way Sportsters look better without them but if they help the hwy ride, it's worth it.

That is why i'm buying one i was told it helps.
BTW i found the one i want at my dealer i should have it soon and i will post pics.
I simply like one because it keeps the wind off me and out of my eyes. I can ride with out glasses if I want. It makes the ride a little smoother. It pushes the wind up and over your head.

Cool, did you go with the detachable or quick release?

I just recieved my short windshield from WindVest yesterday, I'm not a fan of windshields either. But I know the difference one can make in a ride.
I looked for the shortest but yet functional shield I could find. I put it on last night, dropped its hieght by the inch that was provided and I'm quite pleased with the apperance.
not to overbearing or sticking out like a sore thumb. WindVest truly turns out a premium product. The quaility and finush are outstanding..Thier customer service rocks also. They called me after placing my order to ask for my height, wanted to make sure I wasn't ordering the wrong size. They come in to lenghts 14 & 16 inch. But according to thier site WindVest You could order a custom lenght. The shield is one of the thickest I've ever seen also.
I'll post pics and the results of a ride as soon as I can. Price was comparable to any other like system I could find, plus 3 day shipping to my house it was 335.00
I put this on my 05 XL1200C
