I suspect that the originator of this post was probably just making conversation. I agree with you but, felt compelled to enter some logic to it. You know what I mean?
WOW!! Never thought I'd read a post from a biker b!tching about other people riding!
Not b!tching, just that it would be nice to see people out during the week. When you only ride on the weekend, I believepeopleonly see bikesas toys. I believe that the more of a presence of motorcycles during the weekmayhelp peopleto realize that bikes are also transportation, just like cars.
There are a multitude of reasons that people are not on their bikes during the week. Jobs and, job expectations are high on the list. Some employers do not take kindly to their staff roaring in on a bike. Some employees do not take kindly to their boss roaring in on a bike. In other words, a lot of pro's and con's are present. Stigmas, prejudices all enter in the formula as well. The current gas crunch will make people rethink a lot of this. Countries other than the US have been mindfull of gas cost and economy a lot longer than we. Just don't think that those that ride on the weekends only ride because its the weekend. Many probably wish they could but for their circumstances.
Bigtop1 you gave an intellegent post...Yes I am making conversation. I started this post as an observation to what I noticed while out this weekend driving my car...needed it to move.
Im with ya on this, and folks cant help it if the weekend is thier time to ride.
I carry around 2000 lbs of tools during the week. But, I have loaded some of them on my workmens trucks and been scooting to the job more thsn I should...
Weird post....

I have to drive my piece of crap work van everday bilieve me I'd rather be riding my sportster instead so i'm limited to evenings and weekends.
If I could just figure out how to put all my hunting, fishing and golf clubs on the bike I would be set.
I ride it when I have to do anything work related. the car is for Scotergrrl and groceries only. I'm riding to the office in a bit to drop off some checks. Take the car? Hell no...
I ride 4 out of 5 days a week - sometimes all five. It's 40 miles a day of riding. I save the truck for errands and stuff like that, and pack it all into that one day.
