I finally got started on my build after buying my 93 883 years ago. I went with a Kraft Tech frame 3 inch up-1.5 backbone stretch-34 degree rake with a 200mm tire. I went with a 23wheel for the front and 18 wheel in the rear, waiting on my springer front end to come in. Here is a pic.
I got the dna springer installed I know I know i hate the look but i ordered a threetwochoppers front hoop kit which make it look 100% better. I put the bars on and now i am just waiting on a few more small parts then i can center the wheels and get the rear brake setup.
I had to order a new rear sprocket with countersunk bolt holes so it will clear my frame when the wheel is centered. I also had to order longer springer rockers so i can clear the front hub it was close but no cigar. I also ordered tank and seat and other small items. I did get in my threetwochoppers front hoop kit for my dna springer. I should get some more mock up done this weekend.
I got the new sprocket in and installed, centered the tire and started working on the brake caliper frame mount. I am just waiting on the chain now to make sure it clears the tire and frame before moving on. There is not much room in the rear i just want to make sure its all gonna work the first time.LOL
I am gonna do the frame flat black, tank and rear fender and front fork of springer in copper. Yeah i saw the springer failure issues. I love my XR.lol
