Default BIG SUCKER

Has Anyone tried the Arlen Ness Big Sucker Air Kit on There bike?
Some readers say that a K&N filter in the stock breather is better than the stock harley filter, this what I was going to use to do the stage 1 But it still needs more air ,So I have been looking around, any suggestions ? and I'am on a budgettoo...

I like the looks of it but some people here have been saying they have issues with oil leaking from them??..maybe some one will pipe in on that..

I have the Screaming Eagle Air upgrade and it's pretty simple to install and seems to do ok with my Stage 1.

Yes, it looks really good and does the job except small oil leak, read my other thread here.

Cyclchyk and 128, good call on the Big Sucker 1. I don't like the "football" look either, plus we have had some issues with them falling off during test rides lol. If anybody does choose the football, be sure to use a set screw on the under-side.... crazy but true.

I have the big sucker I and have no problems with it. I took the filter off after a ride and noticed there was a little oil around the mouth of the intake but not really anything to be worried about. Its the way its designed. I looked at the stock A/C that came off my bike and the breather passages are set up almost the same way.... they exit inside the air filter, the only difference I noticed is that the Ness A/C breathers exit at the mouth of the carb and the stock ones are further out.

I've got the Big Sucker 2 with the Scalloped chrome cover. The only issue is that of the oil blowback that was already mentioned. I'm planning on doing the modification that 128auto has linked. Other than the oil issue, whichI even had with the stocka/c, I love it.

when you installed your bs, there is tiny ferrells that you are supose to stake into a breather bolt. has anyone left them out or drilled them a little bit larger for better breathing? I have had my bs for a while now and I was going to install it this weekend. also on the stock a/c and the se a/c there are little 90 degree elbows that face the carb. has anyone tried adaping them onto the bs

not to hijack or anything, but how would this work on a nightster with the EFI? Would there be the same oil blow back issues?
