I have about 1200 miles on my '07 XL1200C - only problem I've had was the battery cover popped open after I hit a pot hole. From talking to other owners at the shop and at the local HOG club, I'm not aware of the '07s being particularly troublesome - Sorry you guys are having problems...
2500 miles to date. Starting to get a bit of stumble/misfire when cold or at low cruising speed. I did take the air cleaner off a few times and blow out the filter (I ride 4 miles gravel every day). Also get a miss - just one - 45 sec. after start, and not every time.
cheers! Mac
6K miles on my 07 883R in 6 months, not one complaint. Traded that one in for an 07 Road King Classic, 8K miles on that one in 5 months, not one complaint! Get the picture?
No problems with my 07 yet- It's not like this is the first fuel injected bike Harley has made- essentially it's the same basic set-up as their other bikes.
My wire harness was never crimped from the factory, so it threw my ECU all out of wack with the throttle sticking, delayed, black smoke, and various other throttle problems. HD put a new harness in and she runs like a raped ape now. Also had a leaking rocker box from the factory and HD fixed that also by removing some overspray from inside the head, and replacing the gaskets and cover.
My 883C has about 1800 on it, and the only problems I've had are:
1. The battery cover wouldn't stay clipped... dealer put on new clips and now its fine (so far) and
2. My speedometer stopped working after going around a right hand corner, and started again after about 1/2 mile and a left hand corner. Hasn't happened but that once.
I don't consider these serious things, So, basically no problems here at all.
Oh, I did forget to mention those stupid clips on the battery cover..mine went off at high speed on the interstate. Thanks to Flatlander (and Grassman) I have a new one..and so does PIB. [sm=smiley20.gif]
