I was considering a Hammer offset air cleaner for my Roadster but decided on one of the new Iron’s round air cleaner. It uses the exact same air filter so no change in the way it runs. I’m 5’3” also and it gives some extra knee room and is about 1/2 the money of the Hammer.
Do you have a link to the air filter you are referring to? How can it be the exact same size when Hammer offers 3 different sizes of air cleaners?
Hammer with stock ham cover works great and keeps most of the water out in a rain storm. Only reason I didn't go with the custom face plate was due to how much I ride in the rain. No issues with the current setup (hammer 3in and stock hd cover)
The Hammer is top notch. However it's overkill for a stock 883. Not saying that's a bad thing, just you'll never get close to using it's potential. If I was planning to significantly increase HP,..I'd say get the Hammer and buy an AC once.
I have the DK Customs Outlaw 425. It's only 4.25" round so it's small. It also vents outside which I think is key. Different cover options too. It's also inexpensive. Have a look http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/spor...stems-c106.htm
