I have an '06 XL1200R and it has Z or Lightning handlebars. I want to go back to stock handle bars but need to confirm dimensions or if there is a part number. Also I found a pair of handle bars that may fit but don't know the difference between "Dimpled" and "Non-Dimpled" handlebars.
You can check for the correct part numbers here. The significance of the 'dimples' is that they are out of sight once fitted to the bike, but provide space for the wires from the handlebar switch-gear. For ease of installation dimpled bars are preferrable IMHO.
FYI, when I got my drag bars they were not dimpled, I used the side of a file to make a notch in my switch housing for the wires to come thru without getting pinched.
