As a Buell owner I'm really not sure about that. And can nobody bend good looking pipes these days?!
those arent bent. they're a bunch of little piece of tube cut and TIG welded. You'd never get a bend that tight without kinking the pipe.
But I agree they sure wouldnt be my first choice of pipe because of how they look. a simple bend and straight setup would look much better and wouldnt have taken a week to cut, fit, and weld all those little pieces together.

I'm usually not a fan of these types of bikes, but damn this one looks killer.. except that stupid headlight grille. Otherwise it looks great! very well thought out, and I'd like to know what the running weight is... looks like it has been stripped a good and carbon wheels and body parts.
Who cares if it's called a 48 or not? This guy had a vision and did an outstanding job making it come to fruition. Maybe not to everyone's liking but I think it's an awesome one-off to be proud of and I bet the customer is really happy. Kudos to the builder.

i follow Winston Yeh and have since i got into bikes.
i said what i said because they keep calling it a 48 in the article. go on up to the house with that bs, we don't need that out here. kick rocks

I realise how they were made, which takes a lot of effort to make something which looks naff, at least to my eyes. Pipes can be bent that tight, but that also takes a lot of skill, with added the bonus of looking good once finished.

looks are a matter of perspective but, you are right... there are tons of sets of pipes out there bent like that, supertrapp, storz, bub and other have done it for years, decades. that multi-weld thing is kinda the pet rock of the moment.
